I like to thik it consists of an underground maze filled with dangerous creatures and other deadly traps meant to stop anyone from leaving, and those who do have to fight for it. I also like to think that Catra has been through it enough that it isn't a threat as much as it would be to other people. So in the original story I wanted there to be an ending where someone died, and that was with Double Trouble. But then I wanted to still have her in the story, so I came up with this other story for her. Plus I saw the first part as the chance to really get to know who was who and create the world that She-Ra would show up in. Part 2 was going to really explaine in further detail who is who and the importance of things not being what they may seem while also providing some endings of sorts. For me Double Trouble's death had to be the end of part 1, because for the whole 1st part everyone was under the fear that someone was going to die, and her death changed things. And part 3 will be the aftermath of everything that has occurred before. It is my favorite part. I know you can't tell me what happens in the next part yet, but what was the deciding factor of where the first part and second part were separated?
and what does the "trapdoor dungeon" you speak of that Huntara fell into consist of? Is it the same place Catra fell into?
spazzblisternoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4132358890134520474.post-66355283150550989492012-09-25T00:24:24.753-05:002012-09-25T00:24:24.753-05:00I think each one has a different view of things, b...I think each one has a different view of things, because as you will find out, there are some things that happened to Adora after that experience that have nothing to do with Catra. And Catra might be a lesbian. I mean I like to think of what Catra is going through is like a blank slate. Like she doesn't know what she wants, but there are things that she is having a hard time controlling.

I don't know that I would ever paint it as Catra was born that way or that it was a choice. For so long she felt nothing for anyone, so now she is trying to sort out what her feelings really are. Plus I want to imagine Etheria being a place where sexuality is not treated the same as it would be on Earth. Like there is no big deal who would be attracted to who, but I like the idea of "what if the person didnt want to like anybody at all? What would happen when they started to be open to the idea of connecting with someone?" Personally I have no idea why people are straight, gay, or whatever. I tend to think our leanings have a genetic component as well as an environmental one, but I really have no idea. I have had a good number of friends who are gay and I don't think any traumatic events led to them being attracted to the same sex. I don't know, sexuality is complicated until it just isn't. I dunno.

But I do know that Catra is a long way from having a happy ending. I can't wait to finish Part 2, because Part 3 is when all the good stuff happens. Or was it just Catra's perception of how Adora was acting? And why didn't Adora say anything to Catra about the kiss? Even if she didn't want to persue a relationship you would think she would have at least apologized for kissing her or something. Adora seems too noble to just ignore something that huge.
At this point it would seem Catra is a lesbian more than a confused straight girl experimenting. She gravitated toward Entrapa and with Huntara was all about the smooching. I don't think the Adora crush was just a fluke. Although I think the Adora thing probably was the spark that began her lesbianism. Personally I don't believe homosexuality is something we are born with. I mean I believe a gay person can't help being gay and they can't stop themselves from being gay -but I think the reason a person becomes gay in the first place is probably because of an event that takes place early in their development. Like a lot of fetishes I think a traumatic event could cause it. Particularly if the event happens before you really understand how sex works. I hope Catra gets herself a girlfriend, maybe if Huntara lives it could work out with them.spazzblisternoreply@blogger.com
