I can tweet about it and also share it on instagram. I am also a part of a young adult novel group on FB that covers all those old great books we used to read back then, I can make a post about that too! No problem at all!

Also I love that you enjoy all the nostalgia! That is really great. I think it is awesome that you are introducing your daughter to so many great things! It's just awesome!Michael Lynn P.https://www.blogger.com/profile/03371185397200027726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4132358890134520474.post-31591999906509454022019-11-12T15:12:20.120-06:002019-11-12T15:12:20.120-06:00thanks again :) Let me know if you ever get to lis...thanks again :) Let me know if you ever get to listen to any of them, and I don't make any money on youtube even with 6k subscribers cuz the copyright owners get all the ad revenue which also means youtube doesn't advertise my channel so I know there are sooooo many people out there who would love to experience these books but they just don't know that there is a channel where they can, Is there anyway you could/would maybe give me a twitter shout out? just let people know there is a place to go for these rare books? I have a patreon as well but it's no big deal, my main mission is to just make every out of print slasher/horror novel available to fans, 30 completed so far and still have over 30 more planned and i am acquiring more all the time!

Either way thanks, and I am glad i found your site to! great stuff you seem like a really cool person! in the 80's me and my sister would play he-man and she-ra and then she would make me play GEM with her to lol I grew up with 4 sisters (my 2 brothers were 18 and moved out before i was 5)so this back ground is awesome! I haven't seen the new she-ra yet but i know my daughter wants to see it, she is 10 and i have introduced her to so many shows from back then: Rainbow Brite, My Little Pony's (OG VERSION), Denver the last dinosaur, my pet monster, inspector gadget, she-ra, gem and so much more. I am always down for nostalgia blogs and discussions. And now I am rambling, thank you for the kind words and I will keep on trucking to make more and more rare books available! :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03991122268774796412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4132358890134520474.post-23908044992103306402019-11-12T12:04:29.119-06:002019-11-12T12:04:29.119-06:00I know we tweeted each other yesterday, but again,...I know we tweeted each other yesterday, but again, I am so thrilled you are doing this. Those books were such a big deal for me growing up. I loved the horror and suspense teen novels, so to see you doing all of this hard work to share these books with people (because they are soooo expensive) it is just really great. I love it, and I am so glad you found this page!Michael Lynn P.https://www.blogger.com/profile/03371185397200027726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4132358890134520474.post-7003155428540278142019-11-11T17:08:44.504-06:002019-11-11T17:08:44.504-06:00Hey thanks so much for covering these books on you...Hey thanks so much for covering these books on your website! they are soooooo hard to find copies of so I have been turning them into audiobooks for those who can't find or afford (they are super expensive) their own copies. On youtube it's The 80's Slasher Librarian! So far i have done 30 freddy, michael and jason books including all the Young Adult Halloween novels like the one mentioned above and the Young Adult Jason books plus i just recently started the Tales of Terror Books! Thanks for keeping these books alive and letting people know about them!!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03991122268774796412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4132358890134520474.post-13202071504689245162013-10-18T15:19:46.044-05:002013-10-18T15:19:46.044-05:00I don't think I was feeling bad about dressing...I don't think I was feeling bad about dressing up as him per se, I think it was more the idea that by wearing the mask I would somehow be lashing out and trying to shock people. To be honest, I wasn't shocking the kids in the neighborhood. We all liked Freddy and as his sequels mounted he surely became the one you kinda wanted to root for. He always had some of the best lines. I think though for me it was just realizing that putting on a mask to try and shock people that the sweet girl from the corner was trying to do something against type may have worked at first, but in the end it was all done for the wrong reasons. Manipulating feelings like that made me feel like I was foolish. I mean it would have totally been different had I actually worn accurate looking clothes and a glove. lol It was just a mess. I was wanting to lash out, and I realized that it just wasn't a good look for me. And these books were so cool! I wish they had lasted longer or that I would have been able to get more. There is always ebay. lol Michael Lynn P.https://www.blogger.com/profile/03371185397200027726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4132358890134520474.post-88670006342183696632013-10-18T15:10:19.399-05:002013-10-18T15:10:19.399-05:00Thank you. Looking back now, I feel like so many kids were going through the same thing. It is scary to be growing up, especially if you aren't ready for it. I'm glad you enjoyed reading this!Michael Lynn P.https://www.blogger.com/profile/03371185397200027726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4132358890134520474.post-25164008518748236412013-10-18T15:08:33.264-05:002013-10-18T15:08:33.264-05:00Thank you for the comment! I totally relate and understand where you were going with that. Those feelings you had needed to manifest themselves. I've been there. But Freddy is so loveable. He's a real goof compared to Michael and Jason. Especially in his later movies. Good read!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09979914565647698188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4132358890134520474.post-77498136273026531862013-10-17T18:24:01.818-05:002013-10-17T18:24:01.818-05:00nice story miss m. for your lovely grandmother was...nice story miss m. for your lovely grandmother was right the most scariest thing one can do is not be their selves. and interesting never knew that both halloween and night mare on elm street had gotten turned into books too. for freddy always thought would make an interesting scary story tellerdemoncat_4noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4132358890134520474.post-23727413713092541972013-10-17T09:40:10.748-05:002013-10-17T09:40:10.748-05:00Wow, this was an epic read. But, my best friend at the time was a girl and reading this was like getting a chance to read her journal. I flashed back to those things she did that a little couldn't understand. I was moved by you getting to your grandmothers. A snap back to reality. Glad you shared this. Cool that you were actually aware enough to see what was going on with yourself.

As for the books, I have the Halloween one but haven't read it yet. I am not sure I have the Freddy one, I have a similar one, but it is about a weird psychedelic poster, I believe.Wings1295https://www.blogger.com/profile/08045644215235749353noreply@blogger.com
