All new Wave 2 Jem dolls!

Ok so I have been one very bad dorkette. Last week I didn't do a Toy Chest Tuesday and it would appear that this week I will be postponing the Toy Chest Tuesday festivities for yet another week. I kinda figured that posting new pictures of the second wave of Jem dolls would be slightly better. Right? (Please don't throw rotten tomatoes at me.)

All things aside, Integrity Toys have created some really nice Jem dolls. Wave 1 consisted of Jem, Jerrica, Rio, and Synergy. Prices may be higher than what most people are used to spending, but we'll always have the photos! So let's start.

Jem and the Holograms
Wave 2

Kimber Benton

So Kimber looks pretty cool. I am not completely crazy about her pants. I'm not sure what to think about the acid wash look. For some reason I recall her pants having a blue shimmer to them. But everything else works for me. I love the detail that has gone into her, and from what I have been reading on the fabulous site Jemcon.org apparently Integrity Toys has created unique face sculpts for each of the characters.

Aja Leith

Aja is interesting. It is incredibly nice to see blue hair on a doll. I love the shade and think it is perfect. However I kinda wish the cut was different. Her hair almost looks like Jem's hair, minus the bangs. I think out of this wave Aja is my least favorite. Of course I don't even know why I am playing favorites as they all look fantastic, and if I could, I would purchase them all.

Shana Elmsford

Shana is just a dream. I love the whole look. At first I wasn't sure about the hair, I thought it was maybe a bit too 'poofy.' But it has really grown on me. I love the outfit and everything about her. One of the things I have noticed about Integrity Toys is that they take elements of the old dolls but also update things in different ways. For instance none of the new dolls have the extreme made up faces like the old show had. The make up is still glam and fun but not as loud.

Wave 2

All together, the girls look so cool. The detail to their instruments is also really nice. I'm no expert in keytars and guitars, but they look really cool. The clothing looks to be really well made and speaking from experience, Integrity Toys makes sure their dolls have amazing articulation.

Jem and the Holograms

Here's everyone together. Oh goodness seeing this picture makes me wish for two things: a new show of some kind, and what Integrity will do with the Misfits.

This is probably my favorite photo of them. They just look so cool. I hope to at least get one of the Wave 2 dolls. The prices are up there. Most can be found for pre-order at $119. And for those who are interested, you can find registered Integrity dealers here. Pre-ordering these Jem dolls from registered Integrity dealers is the only way to purchase them. I also need to do a post on the Classic Jem from Integrity as she is one truly outrageous doll.

For those who were wanting to enjoy a Toy Chest Tuesday today, don't worry. I have been working on an all new Heroic Hottie for January and it is going to be a lot of fun. There will be something old and something new. Nothing borrowed, nor blue, but there will be some green. So enjoy the new Jem doll photos and get ready for even more cool stuff this week. Hope you are all doing well.

    1. They are very nice. I hope Wave 2 does well. I know the 1st Wave did pretty well.

    1. lol Tell me about it. But unlike other vintage properties that soak our nostalgia on regular loop, this is the first line of Jem dolls to come out since the vintage line. I hope this won't be the last we see of them.

  3. not only am I throwing tomatoes at you-I'm giving you the hook as well! No no-I'm only kidding, though I would like to see you hooked just to see it happen to someone!
And I don't know anything about Jem, but I kind of think the one with the blue hair is the hottest one-or at least has the prettiest face. But that's the one you said you don't like that much.
The instruments all look really cool for all of them. There should be more action figures that come with Key-tars!
Is there a drummer in the band?

    1. Well maybe one day I will get hooked. lol And I do agree, Aja has a very pretty face. But if you ever google an image of Aja, you will see what I'm talking about in terms of her hair not looking exactly right. And Shana was also the drummer, but later on in the show, they introduced a fifth Hologram named Raya who became the full time drummer.

  4. I watched the first couple Jem episodes on Netflix this week, hoping the songs would interest my 1 year old. I think they interested me more, as I am truely outrageous.

    1. Oh Dan, aside from She-Ra, I could watch Jem and the Holograms on a loop without a care in the world. It is such a fantastic cartoon. I love the music and the animation was really ahead of its time back then.

  5. Holy Crap!

Originally that was all I was going to say, but I might as well comment.

Aja is awesome, I love her face and the make up. Shana has the nicest dress, it just looks great on her.

I want Kimber, but something tells me it won't happen, but its fun to dream. I also think Kimber's pants are nice, they look like vinyl or leather, but the fabric could be denim? Can't tell from the photo. The detail on her Keytar is exceptional, she can use it to knock her sis out and take over! The new name of the band...Kimber and The Holograms and that chick with the pink hair! LOL!!!

Really awesome! I'd call it Toy Tuesday--no need for a rotten tomato barage.

    1. Aren't they awesome though!? I love Kimber. That keytar is badass. And with all this awesomeness, I just can't wait to see what they do with the Misfits! I mean they just look amazing. Simply amazing.

  6. have to admit the holograms this time around look really cool espicaly the faces. for kimber looks like she is all business and ready to mess some one up if they mess with her and jem . espicaly love shanna. and with the holograms till raya comes out down the road done maybe this means the third wave will be the misfits.

    1. Kimber does mean business doesn't she? I just absolutely love them. I think they look so cool. Now I feel like the next wave will be the original three Misfits, and then the 4th wave will be Raya, Jetta, and maybe two others. Like I feel as if they started the line with four figures in wave 1 and I am thinking the final wave will end on four characters. But this is just me speculating. lol

  7. After the Misfits, the Stingers will be the next wave since all of us Jem fans have been wanting the Stingers since 1988. The prototypes of The Stingers sold on eBay for over $1,000. If we're lucky we will get Raya and Jetta. If you are in the W Club there will be one EXCLUSIVE Jem character doll that will be available to the club.

    1. Thank you for this comment! Since the Stingers were never made into doll form, I always forget that they do have a chance of now being made! That would be really great to have those three mixing it up in all of our collections. I am also in the W Club, so I am really looking forward to what this exclusive Jem doll will be. Thanks again for the comment, I hope you are doing well.

    1. Hi Sette! I think they will probably release Raya in another line up. My guess is that the three original Misfits will be released next, hopefully followed by Raya and Jetta. Though the Stingers might be the wild card. It's anyone's guess at this point.
