All My Toys: 293

Dear Diary!

It's a blast from the past as my friends and I gather in Swans Crossing for the ultimate concert! My best friend Glo is the opening act for Sandy Swan's band. This will be the social event of the spring. I am freaking out.

-M

Backstage at the White Hot Room venue in Swans Crossing...

Glory: Do you hear that? The crowd is getting louder. I think this is going to be a big show.
Glo: Oh yes. Thank you again for inviting me to be the opening act.
Sandy: You are going to kill it.

Glo: Thanks. It's showtime!

Big Boy's penthouse. Toy Valley.

Big Boy Caprice: (hears a noise) Come in.

Sindel: You called for me?

Big Boy Caprice: Yes I did. I saw you were the only singer for tonight? Where is everyone else?
Sindel: Lana stepped away. Breathless is at a concert. And Krystle, well, she's still on leave.

Big Boy Caprice: Don't tell me that babbu did something to her, if he laid a hand on her...
Sindel: Big Boy, you know Krystle is in competition with that other crystal when it comes to Cletus. He got a little rough with her. She's been laying low. We all know you don't want her on stage with a black eye and busted lip.
Big Boy Caprice: When she gets back, I want to talk to her. For now, Cletus won't be bothering anyone.

Sindel: Anyone, as in forever? Because he really does cause a ruckus.
Big Boy Caprice: Don't worry about him. I have it under control. When you see Lana, let her know I have someone stopping in soon for an audition. We need a solid cast on that stage. And send in the Brow when you see him.

Sindel: Yes Big Boy.

Back at the White Hot Room...

Glo: This next song, it's a cover, one of my favorites and an exclusive to this show. 'Doll Parts.'

Glo: (sings)
Glo: (sings) (editor's note- play your own song of choice while reading to keep this an immersive episode!)

Miss M: Damn our friend can sing!
Sarah: I know.
Miss M: You ok?

Sarah: Yeah. Just something on my mind. (editor's note- Sarah hasn't told her beau Winston yet some life changing news!)
Miss M: Well just enjoy, it's a concert, we're having fun!

(Glo pauses singing to remind everyone about the food station and special drinks based off of the performers)

Billy: You're going to ask her tonight?
Winston: Yeah, why not? We've been at this for so long already. We hardly ever get a chance to go out on the town, yeah, it's gonna be tonight.
Billy: I'm happy for you Winston.

Winston: Hey good lookin.
Sarah: What do you think?
Winston: It's a fun show.
Sarah: Agreed. You ok? You look nervous.
Winston: Oh I'm great. They're asking 17 bucks for a slice of pizza at the food station so I'm trying to make a decision.

Miss M: Billy! Did you see who was here?
Billy: I know, I just talked to Zack.
Miss M: If Kimberly shows up I'm fangirling all the way out. Just saying.

Zack: She might show up.
Miss M: Zack! You really think so?
Zack: Oh yeah. She loves visiting Swans Crossing.

Billy: I wouldn't hold your breath. Kimberly had beef with Mila Rosnovsky at one point.
Miss M: Dang, everyone tries to come for Mila.
Billy: Where's lover boy at?
Miss M: He's at work, not gonna make it tonight...

Police station. Toy Valley.

Arcee: Working late tonight I see. Any leads on locating the Baroness?
Dick Tracy: No. Not yet. She's a slippery one.
Arcee: Given her history, that does not surprise me. What do we do?

Dick Tracy: We keep trying to locate her, and in the mean time, I think I need to pay a visit to the Club Ritz.
Arcee: The Club Ritz?

Dick Tracy: Yeah. I think it's about time I meet this Big Boy Caprice.

Back at the White Hot Room. Swans Crossing.

Glo: (continuing to sing on stage)

???: Oh hey, it's you. From the mall.

Glo: Thank you everyone. Are you ready for Sandy and her Swans to come out? Very soon! I can't thank you enough for such a warm reception. Now, before we take a break, how about one more song!

Sydney: Oh yes, we're both newly engaged. Is your fiance here?
???: No, he had to travel for business.
Sydney: Mine too. Well, enjoy the show.
???: You too.

Sydney: (bumps into someone) Excuse me.
Buffy: You are excused.
Sydney: Listen, you bumped into me miss pleather pants.

Buffy: You want me to tell you what you look like?
Sydney: Rude! You know, you remind me a little bit of me.

Buffy: Eh, I can see it. If you squint.
Sydney: I like your attitude.
Buffy: Not too bad yourself. Have a good night.

Miss M: Hey! Everything ok? Looked like a brawl was about to happen.
Sydney: I'm great. It's so weird, I felt like I was looking at myself for a moment.
Miss M: With Buffy?

Sydney: Yeah. Anyway, how is the show?
Miss M: It's great. Congratulations on the engagement! Where is Alex?
Sydney: Eh, he's away on a business trip. Which is fine. You want a drink?

Miss M: Nah, I'm good. I heard the drinks are pricey at the food station.
Sydney: I don't care. Alex will be covering it since he can't be here. I'm gonna get you some champagne too.
Miss M: Ok. I don't really drink champagne, a Dr. Pepper will be fine...
Sydney: Champagne it is. We need to celebrate.
Miss M: Well there ya go. (laughs)

Glo: Ok, that's a wrap for me. There will be a brief intermission, so get some drinks and food, and come back for the final show of Sandy Swan's Reunion Tour!

The crowd cheers loudly as things travel back to Big Boy's penthouse.

Big Boy Caprice: I need you to bring Cletus to me. He's making my blood boil.
The Brow: Big Boy, we have a problem.

Big Boy Caprice: What has he done now?! I keep finding out too much about him, he's messing up my operations.

Big Boy Caprice: A damn thorn in my side. I knew I should have gotten rid of him sooner. He's messy. I blame that fairy witch. When I absorbed her control of the Foot, I didn't realize I'd end up with such tontos.

Big Boy Caprice: Well?

The Brow: He escaped the safe house. I've got men on it, but we haven't found him yet.
Big Boy Caprice: What?!

Big Boy Caprice: (heart beating faster) Find him now or else heads will roll! And when you do, you let me know, because it'll be time for a visit to the barrel. Go! Find him!

Backstage at the White Hot Room...
Sandy: Hear that everyone? It's a big crowd.
Glory: Yeah, this is so cool, that we are right back where it all began.
Jimmy: You guys, this has been perfect. I know I was reluctant to be part of everything again, but, I'm glad I said yes.
Owen: We're glad too. After everything we have been through, this is our night.

Sandy: Right. I think about where our music has taken us. I think about that mousey nerdy girl I once was, and you guys, our music, performing, it has given me so much confidence in myself. And to have this moment, this return, all these years later. I love you guys.

Sandy: Owen, you are my soulmate. We've been through everything together, and this is all on you. You pushed me and helped me dare to dream amazing things.
Owen: I am so proud of you Sandy.

Sandy: Glory and Jimmy, you two have been my dearest friends. We've been through so much. This is our time. We're going to go out there and close this tour in high style with our signature sound.

Sandy: You ready?

Sandy: Let's rock!

Front stage...

Glo: (smiling at all the cheers) Well, what did y'all think?
Sarah: Loved every minute of it.
Winston: You were great Glo!
Sydney: I was fashionably late, but that last song you did was very catchy.
Glo: (rolls eyes and laughs) That does not surprise me Sydney.

Miss M: You were amazing Glo. You knocked it out, everyone was freaking out.
Billy: Yeah, I think my friend Zack might have a crush.

Zack: Umm, dude way to keep it cool.
Billy: (smiles nervously) Are you hanging out with us for the rest of the show?
Miss M: I hope so Glo!
Glo: Yeah, I'm here with y'all for the rest of the night.
Miss M: (looks over and gasps) Oh snap. Crackle. And Pop. Garrett's here.

Garrett: (waves) Hey!

Sydney: What is he doing here?!

Sydney: I'm surprised you're here. I thought you didn't like concerts?

Garrett: I'd rather be on a yacht yes, but these are our friends. Glory is my sister. I'm going to always support the crew.
Sydney: (dry) How nice of you.
Garrett: I hear congratulations are in order.
Sydney: Thank you. Alex and I are very happy.
Garrett: Where is he, I'd love to congratulate him too?
Sydney: He had to work.
Garrett: Oh, what a shame.

Miss M: Lord, the drama is always on isn't it?

Winston: Hey, we need to talk at some point tonight.
Sarah: Yeah, we do.
Winston: Are you having fun?

Sarah: Yes, but Winston...

Suddenly the crowd goes wild as the singers take to the stage!
Miss M: OMG! This is so exciting!

M and Glo both scream in unison.

Sandy: Hey everyone! Are you ready for the final show! Swans Crossing, get ready to rock!

The music begins as the crowd goes wild. Cue fun carefree montage of your favorite toys enjoying the music.

Lovers get into the groove even though there are important things unspoken.

The crowd marvels at how great the music still is after all these years.

Play along with your own music and revel in the magic of toy collecting and toy story telling!

Sometimes nostalgia can hit with just a few chords.

And then you can be transported to a different time...

All it takes is just one look...

Sandy: Come on Swans Crossing, are you feeling it?!

Janine: My hair is feeling it!

Sandy: Ok everyone, we're just getting warmed up. We've got some surprises for tonight too. One night only surprises as we wrap this tour up!

Sandy: I've gotta say, you have all been so great supporting us after all these years. We would be nothing without you all, and I am nothing without these fabulous people on stage with me.

Sandy: Give it up for Glory Booth and her sweet beats!

Sandy: My dear love Owen Fowler, always making melodies!

Sandy: And last but not least, Jimmy Clayton, rippin riffs like no one else!

Sandy: Give them all a hand! This tour has truly been a labor of love. We opened in Swans Crossing and we are now closing back here. This is our home. And we want to spread nothing but love to our fans. Unfortunately, one of our fans wasn't able to join us tonight. All of us on this stage share our love and prayers with super fan William Bruce West! He's been a devoted fan of the Swans for ages, and we wish him and his family love, light, and a speedy recovery! Now, I don't know about you all, but I think we need to jump right into a hit you all love, let's go 'Woobie Hunting.'

Sandy: Let's go! (bursts into a flurry of chaotic music and smooth vocals)

Sydney: (smiles) My god, I can't believe they ever made this a thing.

Miss M: Whoo!

Sandy: Ya know, I told you all there'd be a surprise. For the first time in a long time, please welcome to the stage, Mila Rosnovsky!

The crowd goes insane as Mila walks up looking like a million bucks in custom couture!

Mila: It's good to be back!
Sandy: We haven't sung together in ages, but this is Swans Crossing royalty right here! We wrote this song together, it's our new single. Enjoy!

The duo sing together, dazzling the audience.

It feels like old times.

And for a moment, time just stands still as everyone comes together.

Embracing the power of music.

And maybe...
Each other?

Sydney: Garrett. What are you doing?
Garrett: I can't help myself, it's you. It's always been you.
Sydney: I am engaged!
Garrett: You want this as much as I do.

Miss M: Oh. My. Gawd. Glo.

Sydney: Come on, let's go.
Garrett: Lead the way.

Miss M: What in the drama is going on here, did you see that?!
Glo: Girl. They are still messy after all these damn years!

Miss M: Ok, the night can't end, late night snack after the concert?
Glo: Umm, hello, that is obvious.

Miss M: Great, will dish at Dixie's Diner! Oh wait, Billy told me Winston is proposing tonight, I think it's about to happen!
Glo: Aww.

Winston: Sarah, I can't keep this a secret much longer. I need to tell you something.
Sarah: I know, I do too.
Winston: Ok, you go first.

Sarah: Ok. Here goes. That non-profit on the West coast, they want to work with me setting up shelters all over the country. They're giving me a three year exclusive contract.
Winston: That's great!
Sarah: Well, there's a catch. I'll be traveling, living like a nomad for those three years.
Winston: What are you saying?
Sarah: I'm saying, that if I accept, our relationship is going to look a little different for the next few years. So, we need to maybe talk more about that.

Winston: Oh. Yeah. I guess that would be different. Three years you say?

Sarah: Yes. And I couldn't ask you to join me, I know you will be busy with your own stuff.
Winston: We'll figure it out.
Sarah: Ok. Good, because I just found out and it has been weighing heavily on me. What did you want to say?

Winston: (pauses) Oh uh, just that I don't think I'll want to go anywhere after the concert. Maybe just home.
Sarah: Oh ok. We can do that. Might be good for us to talk more about everything. This will be life changing for so many people.
Winston: Yeah, I am really proud of you.

Miss M: Oh yikes.
Glo: I can't hear what is going on, but it looks like the proposal is not happening?
Billy: Yeah, we gotta play it cool.
Miss M: Hey you two! Everything ok?

Sarah: Yeah, just some big news about a job opportunity.
Winston: We're gonna head out a little early.
Sarah: We'll be seein y'all.

Glo: (looks worried) Sure!
Miss M: (trying to hide concern) Yeah, talk to you later.

Sandy: Give it up for Mila! And be on the lookout, our new single will be available on iTunes and Spotify this Friday!

Mila: (sighs while watching Sydney and Garrett leave together) That doesn't surprise me one bit. Oh Sydney.

Garrett: Quick, let's grab a bottle of champagne to go.
Sydney: Hurry before I change my mind. (laughs carefree) Crazy man.

Later on, Dixie's Diner...

Miss M: And here is to you Glo! Congratulations again.

Glo: Thanks girl. Whew. What a night.

Miss M: I know! I can't believe Sydney ran off with Garrett!
Glo: A leopard never changes its spots, those two are a toxic mess.

Miss M: I mean she just got engaged.
Glo: I know, and that rich man she is engaged to, who knows what he's capable of if he finds out.
Miss M: Playing with fire.

Glo: The Swans all looked good. They sound just like they did in the '90s. You think Sarah and Winston are going to be ok?

Miss M: I hope so. Poor Winston, he looked so sad. What kind of job opportunity could Sarah possibly have?
Glo: I don't know, but when Billy gets here I'm sure he'll tell us. Oh, your man is here.

Dick Tracy: I'm her man huh?
Miss M: Hey! Come on, sit.
Dick Tracy: How was the concert?

Miss M: It was great!

Glo: Yeah, you missed out on a good show.

Dick Tracy: I have no doubt about it. You both look terrific. So, tell me all about it.
Glo: Well, my set went off without a hitch!

Miss M: I'm glad you are here.
Dick Tracy: Me too.

Glo: So the show was great. But you'll wanna hear about the drama.

Dick Tracy: Oh really? Let me go get a cup of coffee, and then I'm all ears.
Miss M: Hurry back!
Glo: You two are so cute.

Up next: Drama you won't want to miss!
