Jem- The Reunion Chapter 3

Since last week's Toy Chest was such a super long and exciting trip down toy memory lane, I thought this week I'd take a little break and post something else on a Tuesday. Fear not, Toy Chest will be back, but a new Jem chapter is upon us! If you like your fanfiction short and sweet, feast your eyes on Chapter 3 from Jem- The Reunion. This is for the Jem fans. I continue to patiently wait for Hasbro to bring our favorite pop star with a dual identity back onto the shelves, and since Hasbro is taking forever, I will just keep typing up a serving of fun fanfic.

Previously-

After a long time away from the spotlight, Jerrica Benton has decided to bring back Jem and the Holograms. Embarking on a world wide reunion tour, Jem shocked audiences everywhere when she announced that Barbie and the Rockers would also be joining this once in a lifetime tour! Fans everywhere had no idea what to think of that, though Pizzazz (former front woman to the Misfits) was not happy.

Now both women travel across the world to find their former bandmates and get their bands back together. So far Jerrica and Aja have asked Raya, who turned them down due to some scheduling conflicts. Pizzazz made some headway by picking up former music executive Eric Raymond. From prison. Now Jerrica and Aja are in Paris, hoping to have a former Hologram and dear friend say "yes" to the reunion tour...

Jem- The Reunion
Chapter 3

Jerrica and Aja find themselves in the front row of a lively fashion show that is moments away from beginning. The two friends are in the middle of Paris Fashion Week and are supporting their friend Shana. "I am so excited to see Shana's new designs! I've heard they are fantastic." Jerrica smiles grinning at Aja. Nodding at the statement, Aja adds, "I know, they say this is the most anticipated show too! Judging by all the cameras, I would have to agree."

"Our Shana has come a long way." Jerrica says smiling at the entire scene before her. The catwalk looks astonishing. A speaker announces that the show will start soon. Watching the bulbs flash throughout the audience, Jerrica is glad she did not arrive as Jem. She can just simply enjoy her friend's show.

"When is the last time you saw Shana?" Aja asks Jerrica. Pausing to recall, Jerrica answers, "I believe I saw Shana a couple years ago when she opened her flagship store in L.A." Jerrica hates that so much time has passed. Aja does the math and realizes the same conclusion. "Wow, that has been a long time Jerrica. I saw her a few months ago at a charity event. She is doing so well." Jerrica nods, wishing to change the subject. There are many reasons that Jerrica has not kept up with everyone in the recent years...

The lights dim as music rises. Jerrica and Aja smile at each other. The show is ready to begin. Models of all ages, shapes, sizes, and ethnicities begin walking out onto the runway. Jerrica smiles and thinks to herself, leave it to Shana to truly find a way to breathe new life into a high fashion show. The clothing is gorgeous full of bright colors and interesting cuts. Some outfits are long and flow with easy movement while other pieces are short and shocking. Aja and Jerrica both find themselves in awe and grinning at which "looks" they will be adding to their wardrobes.

Finally at the end of the show, Shana begins her walk down the runway to thank everyone for attending. Looking out at all of her supportiers, Shan simply appreciates the moment. To add to the excitement, the music shifts to a remix of an old Jem and the Holograms song, "Glitter and Gold." Jerrica and Aja clap even harder and shout out Shana's name. The feeling in the air is electric.

After the crowd empties out and Shana gives her last interview to the press, Jerrica and Aja join their friend backstage. All three women hug each other and scream in delight. Shana is glowing, "I am so happy you were both here to see my show! I just about died when I got the call. How was it? Were the seats perfect?" Jerrica smiles, "Stunning. We had the best seats. You are so talented Shana." Aja adds on, "I think we'll be making some purchases!" Everyone laughs.

The three walk to a small room that acts as a resting spot for the people attending the various fashion shows. "So how is Anthony?" Aja asks. Shana beams, "He is doing well. All is great. He'd be here, but he is in New York overseeing some projects for one of the stores. What about you two? I can't believe I'm sitting with you both right now!"

Aja explains that the Starlight Foundation has been doing well. Jerrica is proud of Aja's work with the foundation and brings up an important question, "Well I know you are busy Shana, but there is another reason why Aja and I are here. I don't know how much you know, but we're trying to reunite Jem and the Holograms for a reunion tour."

Shana pauses and looks at her friends, "Yes, I had heard a little bit. Pretty exciting news." Looking at Jerrica and Shana, Aja speaks up, "Exciting indeed. So are you in?" Shana takes a breath, "Of course I am! They weren't playing Glitter and Gold for nothing." Everyone is smiling. Jerrica wants to make sure this is actually going to happen. "Are you sure Shana? We don't want to be taking you from your fashion empire." Jerrica hopes this will work out.

"Of course I am sure. I have plenty of people to handle the big things with my business. How could I miss out on going on tour with you? Playing music together was a big part of my life, and had we never done all that, I wouldn't be here right now." Shana smiles thinking back on all the great memories they had of being in Jem and the Holograms.

"Oh Shana! This is so exciting!" Aja claps her hands. Jerrica has just one more question though, "Shana, are you ok though with what happened?" Jerrica refers to the highly contentious moment in entertainment history when the world found out that Jerrica Benton and Jem were one in the same. The Holograms didn't last much longer after that. In time, neither did their friendships. Without the band, everyone went on their own path.

Shana grabs hold of Jerrica's hands, "Now you listen to me Jerrica. We all knew you were Jem, we all knew what we were getting into. Besides time has passed. If the world was still angry at Jem and the Holograms, I wouldn't have just put on a great fashion show." Shana wonders what is going on through her friend's head.

"Alright! It is all set, Shana is joining." Aja says thinking of the next person they need to ask. Shana asks about Raya and is sad to hear that Raya will not be joining. "Which means our next stop is to London. For Kimber." Jerrica says, knowing full well they will have an uphill battle.

"Speaking of anger, do you have any ideas on how we will get a chance to talk to her?" Aja asks. Shana looks sad, "She still doesn't want to speak to you Jerrica?"

"No Shana, she doesn't. I screwed things up when I destroyed Synergy. But, we need Kimber. Without her this reunion tour is not going to work." Jerrica sits there looking at all the people milling around. Some members of the press and random models recognize the band members while others look on hoping to catch glimpses of the latest fashion trends. Aja looks around at the crowd and stands up, "Well we'll worry about Kimber when we get to London. Right now I am famished. I say we go get something to eat. We are in Paris! Shana, lead the way!" They all get up and head out, leaving the glitz and glamour of the fashion world behind.

Across the world in the United States, a limo pulls up to an old beat up bar in the downtown area of Philadelphia. Pizzazz steps out and looks up at the bar sign. The sun is bright but hidden by the city. She removes a pair of large sunglasses as Eric gets out as well. "Pizzazz, are you sure we are at the right place?"

Gritting her teeth, Pizzazz motions for Eric to stop talking, "Of course I am sure. I know Roxy. She always returns to her roots. Now go park the car and meet me inside." Getting back into the car, Eric grunts and drives the limo to an area for parking. He is livid that the original limo driver bailed after Pizzazz made too many demands at the airport. "How did my life turn into this horse shit?" He mutters aloud.

Pizzazz doesn't wait for Eric and instead waltzes into the dingy bar. She scans the place. Her eyes glide over a man passed out at the main bar, where she also spots Roxy. Looking down and cleaning some shot glasses, Roxy barks, "Bar is closed. Come back later."

Grinning, Pizzazz walks towards the bar, "Now is that any way to treat a Misfit?" Roxy guickly looks up completely caught off gaurd, "Oh shit. Pizzazz. What in the hell are you doing in Philly?"

Looking around the bar, Pizzazz sits on a stool next to the drunken man who is still sleeping, "Well it isn't for the atmosphere." Putting down the shot glasses, Roxy turns, "Yeah well, bar is closed Pizzazz. Come back... oh... never."

Placing her elbows on the old wooden bar top and staring at the drunk man who might be dead, Pizzazz pauses, "You don't look closed. What's this guy's story?" Roxy looks at the man and shrugs, "Some people just can't handle a good time." The two women look at each other. A great deal of time has passed. "What do you want Pizzazz? How did you even find me?"

Cackling and tossing her green hair back, Pizzazz groans, "Gimme a break Roxy. I always knew you'd return to your old stomping grounds if things didn't work out. It wasn't that hard to find you." Glaring at Pizzazz, Roxy spits out, "Well I wish you hadn't. I don't want you here." As Roxy says this, Eric walks in from parking the limo, Roxy points, "And I don't want him here either!"

Eric throws his hands up in the air, "Nice to see you too Roxy." Roxy glares at them both, "Oh shut up. You two morons did a number on me." Feigning hurt feelings, Pizzazz goes on, "What did we do to you? So you aren't in L.A. anymore. You certainly seem to be doing well for yourself. You own this... bar." Looking over her shoulder, Pizzazz tries to ignore the smelly drunken man.

Full of annoyance, Roxy shouts, "I don't own this bar Pizzazz! I'm a damn bar wench." She points to Eric, "After Mr. Wonderful over here decided to nearly get us all killed, everything went to hell in a hand basket! Don't you remember Pizzazz? Eric went to prison! All those plots to go after lousy Jem and her Holograms backfired. The Misfits couldn't headline a show if we threatened and blackmailed fans into going. Ya know we didn't all have dead rich daddies like you, Pizzazz. I had to head out over here. I'm old and working in a damn bar!"

Pizzazz shrugs, "You don't look that old. Besides, I know a great gal who does the best filler in California. You also know how to read. Doesn't that stand for something?" Roxy screams and throws a shot glass at Pizzazz, "Screw you Pizzazz! You don't even know about hard times! Do you know that I have to serve these young lil shit customers every night and they didn't even know who I am! I was a Misfit! I helped write the book on debauchery!"

Eric mutters under his breath, "After you learned to read that is." Hearing this, Roxy throws up her hands, "The hell with both of ya. Get out! I won't serve trash here."

Kneeling on the barstool Pizzazz reaches over to grab a bottle of vodka and a shot glass. She brushes Roxy out of the way, "You don't mean that. Especially when we are here with some good news. How would you like to leave this dirty old bar, hmm Roxy?" Crossing her arms, Roxy looks dubious, "Go on. I'm listening."

Pizzazz looks back at Eric, "Now that wasn't so hard. Drink?" Eric says no, and Pizzazz takes a shot. "Listen Roxy, times were tough back then. But we all learned some good lessons. Now that we are a bit older, I say we show the world just how bad we are. I want to bring the Misfits back together. Go on a reunion tour. Show these little children how it is really done. I want you back with us."

Pondering this information over, Roxy asks, "There money involved?" Pizzazz looks over at Eric, expecting an answer. Eric rolls his eyes, "Of course there will be money. Your old rate will apply, 10% revenue on any album sales, concert tickets, and Misfits merchandise sold." Roxy looks on in disgust, "Inflation has been a bitch Eric. I want more."

Eyes wide in shock and really close to spitting out some good vodka, Pizzazz chokes, "Well look who became a business woman." Grinning and crossing her arms, Roxy tosses out, "You're right Pizzazz, we are older, and I won't be making the same mistakes. I want 25% revenue and I want royalties on any new songs, because I will be listed as a song writer. I don't care if I change just a word on a single song, my name is added to new material or else."

Pizzazz and Eric look over at each other. This change of events had never occured to Pizzazz, but they all knew they would need each other if the Misfits were going to have any chance at a successful reunion. "Alright Roxy, you have a deal." Pizzazz smiles as Eric looks like someone kicked him in the gut. Roxy grins, "Alright! Let's blow this dump!" Pizzazz nods, "Now we go to merry old England."

Raising an eyebrow, Roxy mutters, "Why are we going there?" Pizzazz explains that they need to drop in on Jetta. "But Pizzazz, I hate Jetta. What about Stormer?" Roxy and Jetta both could only barely tolerate each other in the past. Pizzazz recalls their history and sighs, "Stormer will not be easy to convince. She got married and popped out 2.5 lil monsters. Having Jetta with us will make it much easier to persuade Stormer to join. We have to get Jetta." Roxy mulls this over, unable to even believe that Stormer got married. With so much time having passed, Roxy joins Pizzazz in taking another shot of alcohol.

"Eric, be a dear and pull the limo out front." Pizzazz sweetly looks over at Eric. Grimacing again, Eric leaves the bar. Roxy begins untying her tiny apron, "What's the deal with him?"

"He just isn't used to taking so many orders." Pizzazz takes one more shot of vodka. Roxy grabs a couple bottles of booze for the road, "Why is he even a part of the reunion? After everything he has done? Not to mention he has been in jail all this time. What does he know about the music business?"

Pizzazz looks at Roxy, "That old dog still knows a thing or two. Besides, before Eric went to prison he was working on some mysterious project. A project I think was going to make him millions. I'm keeping our dear Eric Raymond real close, because if he thinks he'll pull a fast one and walk away with millions, he has another thing coming. No one messes with the Misfits." Roxy grins, a feeling of the past washing over her, "Yeah!" This feeling feels good, "I've missed you Pizzazz."

Looking at Roxy, Pizzazz smiles, "I've missed you too Rox!" They two women walk away from the bar cackling at all their plans for fame and riches. Roxy tosses her apron at the drunk man sleeping at the bar, "There ya go Eddie! I quit!" Another round of laughter fills the air.

Outside, Eric Raymond starts the old garish limo that Pizzazz rented at the airport. He is also on a cell phone, quietly whispering to someone, "Listen, as soon as I have a chance I will send you the details. I have everything locked in a briefcase right now, and I know you will be able to make this project work." Eric listens to the other person speak and adds, "No one can know about this. This project will make us so much money. Various industries will be beating down the door to see what we can do. I'll never have to deal with the Misfits again. In fact I'll be able to make my own Misfits that know how to follow orders. You just make sure that this can actually be made. If all goes according to plan, we'll be able to rule the world..."

Jem- The Reunion Chapter 2

Ok it is that time again, time for a new Jem fanfic chapter. I know, I know, "Why do we need to read more Jem fanfic Miss M?" Well here's why, it makes you smarter. And since Hasbro still insists on taking a very slow time with any Jem relaunch for the foreseeable future I am just gonna keep rollin' out my Jem fanfic, a lovely look at where Jem and the gang would be 20 somethin years later.
Here's what you may have missed from Chapter 1. Time has not been good to Jem. After the world found out that Jerrica Benton and Jem were one in the same the curtain came down on the popular '80s band. Now in the present Jem has had a recent resurgence in popularity and interest. While appearing on the Lindsey Pierce show Jem announced that the Holograms and her would be reuniting for a world tour and certain guests would be accompanying the group, like Barbie and the Rockers. While leaving the show Jem made a phone call to someone about a meeting of some kind...

News of the Jem reunion tour enraged Pizzazz, leader of the Misfits who were quite possibly the biggest rival band that Jem and the Holograms ever had to deal with. In other news Eric Raymond former band manager to the Misfits was going to be released from prison. Apparantly Eric tried to stall the Holograms from attending a benefit concert and nearly got them, the Misfits, and the Stingers all killed in a deadly fire. This is the same fire that also led the world to finding out that Jerrica and Jem were the same person after she was rushed to the hospital.

So now put on your best war paint and get ready for the reunion of a lifetime...

 Jem- The Reunion
Chapter 2

Jem exits an elevator into a posh waiting room. Heading to the left and walking through the halls of Starlight Music, Jem can't help but look at the pictures of people and various achievements that the music company has received in the recent decades. There is an excitement in the air as she heads to a large office room with a view of downtown Los Angeles. As Jem enters the room a chair turns around behind a desk. Aja stands tall in a sleek business suit, her blue hair pulled tight into a bun. With arms crossed Aja says, "Well there's our new tv star. I caught your interview on the Lindsey Pierce show and I must say I was shocked. I had no idea we would be gearing up for a reunion tour. Had I known I would have bought us some champagne!" Aja takes a seat and slightly grins, "So I am going to sit here and let you tell me how this all happened. And action."

Jem knows there is a lot of explaining to do, "Aja I had no choice. It was either get on the Lindsey Pierce show today or wait at least 6 months or longer for a spot to open up. I no longer have the clout I used to, it had to be now or never."

Shaking her head Aja looks out the window before turning to Jem, "Would it have taken that much time to call us and just see if we were interested in a reunion tour? Jem, you just spoke on our behalf, what if the other members say no? You have been so impulsive lately!"

"I know I have Aja, but I did what I thought was best. I could have stopped and interrupted everyone's busy lives to see about reuniting, but I wanted to say something now. While we are still in slight demand. Look at our songs, they are doing really well on iTunes. I've had calls about releasing a nice greatest hits package with some new songs. There are even Jem Conventions Aja! People dress up like us and do it rather well. There is something in the air, I can feel it. I don't want to miss out on this before it is too late."

Aja stands and walks to a small bar by the office desk. She pours herself a glass of sparkling water, "Too late? Jem you talk as if we will no longer be relevant in a few months. I know it was a blow when the world turned aginst us, but I think it would have been alright for you to talk to us first. And what of Barbie? You announced her band would be joining us. Have you forgotten what it was like to be around her? How did this happen? Does she even know or will she be shocked like me?"

Pouring herself a glass of sparkling water too, Jem tells her story, "Barbie knows somewhat. We were at Elton's charity event about a month ago and we struck up a nice conversation. She asked if the Holograms were going to ever reunite, and one thing led to another. We casually started talking about uniting both bands and doing a tour. To double check I called her manager and he said go for it. We just need to iron out the details." The two women look at each other. Raised as foster sisters Aja and Jem were still close after all these years. No matter what may have happened with everyone else, Aja always remained close. Aja raises an eyebrow, "By details you mean getting the Holograms back together?"

Jem nods, "Yes. And I hope that I can count on you to be the first to say yes. I will need your help convincing everyone else." Aja is silent for a few moments, "I suppose I could say yes, as long as it doesn't disturb my duties as president of the Starlight Foundation." With Jem having a growing larger part in maintaining Starlight Music she had asked Aja to head the Starlight Foundation for Foster Girls a few years back. Aja had proven to be highly successful in her role with the foundation. Jem looks at Aja, "You suppose?"

Grinning from ear to ear Aja laughs, "Oh of course I'm going to say yes Jem! There is no other answer! So what is the next plan?" Jem smiles and hugs Aja, "Oh Aja I am so happy! I know I was impulsive, blame it on age. But we can make this work. The next thing we need to do is take a quick trip to San Franciso tonight. Raya's band is performing and I made a few calls. We have back stage passes." Aja smiles, "And you say you no longer have any clout, ha! Well let's get going!" Jem and Aja talk further and prepare to head to San Francisco...

Raya's concert is nearing an end. Jem and Aja watch from the side of the stage and are so proud to see Raya performing with her new band. After Jem and the Holograms broke up Raya became quite the commodity with other musical acts. In the recent years Raya began lending her talents on drums to the alternative rock band Le Fleur. Aja shouts into Jem's ears, "Aren't you proud of her Jem? Raya has come such a long way!" Jem nods and wonders what everything would have been like if the Holograms had never broken up.

Once the concert is over Raya makes her way to her dear friends. Slightly older and still gorgeous, Raya grabs a towl from an assistant and wipes her face, her pink hair messy and wild. Raya hugs her friends and they are all excited to see each other. "Oh Jem and Aja I am so happy to see you both! What a surprise!"

Aja nods, "You look fantastic! I love your outfit!" Raya smiles and looks down at her rocker girl costume of tattered leggings and strapless silver top, "Oh I try to throw on what I can! You two look great too!" Raya smiles. Jem and Aja look a bit more subdued so as not to attract too much attention. Jem adjusts her billowy dress, "Raya we are so happy for you. The music was so good, your talents as a drummer are just sublime."

Raya smiles, "I owe that to my time when I was with you Jem. Being a part of the Holograms taught me so much and I have carried that with me to this very day!" The three talk for a little longer catching up on everyone's various activities and projects, which eventually leads to Jem asking, "I know you have been busy with Le Fleur Raya, but what would you think of reuniting with the Holograms for a tour?"

Smiling at her two former bandmates Raya looks sad, "I had heard about your interview with Lindsey Pierce earlier today. I think it is a wonderful idea Jem, but I am so sorry. I just can't commit to that at this time. I wish I could, I really do. I'm so sorry." Jem hugs Raya, "Don't apologize for that Raya! I completely understand, we just wanted to ask you personally." Aja chimes in, "Which we should have done sooner, but this all came together so quickly."

Aja quickly darts her eyes to Jem, this was going to be more difficult than they thought. Raya nods, "Yes, but I understand how things can get thought out pretty quickly. I wish you all the best with everything..." Raya pauses as her assistant whispers something in her ear. Raya nods and looks at Jem and Aja, "I'm so sorry, but I have to step away for a second. I have a brief interview with a journalist from Rollingstone. Please enjoy everything back stage and I will try to talk some more later on ok?" Jem and Aja understand realizing that things really have changed in all their lives. Hugs are given and soon Jem and Aja are standing alone as people walk around not even aware of who they are.

How is this all going to work out Jem asks herself. Maybe a reunion tour was a bad idea. Aja nudges Jem's arm, "Alright fearless leader, what do we do next?" Jem looks at Aja and realizes that this is going to work. This is her last chance... Jem smiles, "First I think we need to leave and find something to eat. I'm starving. As for the next step, what do you think about going to Paris next week?" Raya may have said no to the reunion tour, but hopefully Shana would have a different response. Aja perks up, "Paris? You don't have to ask me twice!" The two walk off already discussing what would be on the list of things to do in the city of lights.

As a few days pass and turn into a new week Eric Raymond finds himself on the verge of becoming a free man. A little after twenty years of being locked up and serving his time well, Eric has just a few more things to do before walking out of prison and into a new life. He can't believe freedom is so close. Back in 1989 he had worked with Pizzazz to stall the Holograms from performing at a huge benefit concert. He had never planned for the fire to grow out of control and nearly kill everyone that was there. A trial soon followed and though the bigger story had been that Jem was actually Jerrica Benton, nothing could completely take away from the sobering realization that he was eventually found guilty. A long life in prison soon commenced.

This was all set to be the past however as Eric put on his clothing from his personal effects. Throwing on a Members Only jacket over his dated slacks and button up, Eric knew he must've looked ridiculous. However he made his way to the clerk to finish signing out and collecting the rest of his belongings. While going over his items the clerk looks at Eric, "You been gone awhile, might need to get some new clothes."

Eric dryly states, "I'll add that to the top of my to-do list." The clerk hands him his weathered vintage brief case. Eric opens it up and looks at the various files and paperwork resting comfortably inside. He stumbles upon a black cassette with neon colored lettering. Instantly feeling revulsion Eric takes the cassette out and slides it to the clerk, "Burn this. I have no use for it."

The clerk looks at Eric, "Sir, this is a Federal building, I can't burn this!" Eric groans, "Fine, just take it. I want nothing to do with it." The clerk looks at the cassette and gasps, "Oh I remember the Misfits! They were that band... They sang that song... Oh how did it go? 'I've got my eye on you' or something like that." Eric shakes his head, "Wrong song. The Misfits didn't sing that." The clerk is insistant, "No, I'm pretty sure they did. Oh I think I will keep this cassette, I loved them! Though I'm not sure how I will listen to it..." The clerk turns over the cassette and then says, "Maybe I can get something for it on ebay instead." Eric grimaces, "I highly doubt it." Finishing up his paperwork Eric takes one last look around, freedom is but a few steps away...

Walking outside Eric squints into the sunlight. Unsure of what he should do next he starts walking towards the road until a shiny black limo pulls up in front of him. The door swings open and a pair of long legs glide out in heels with blood red soles. Standing in front of Eric is Pizzazz, green hair teased within an inch of its life. Wearing large oversized sunglasses and a short tight dress Pizzazz waves, "Eric! You're out! How 'bout a ride?"

Eric walks by her and mutters, "I'd rather take my chances on foot." Eric continues to walk by the limo heading as far away from trouble as he possibly can. Pizzazz calls back, "Oh Eric don't be ridiculous! Get inside the car!" Eric ignores her and continues walking. Letting out an exasperated groan Pizzazz gets back into the limo and tells the driver to follow Eric. The limo slowly drives next to Eric.

"Eric, stop this. Just get in the limo. Walking back to civilization will take forever! Besides I need your help. I have a job for you Eric and it will pay very well." Eric stops and rolls his eyes, "You'll pay me well? Last I heard Pizzazz you have no money." Pizzazz grins looking out through the limo window, "This is true Eric, I lost all my money years ago. However daddy died and I got all of his. Now I am filthy rich and I want to get filthier. So stop being annoying and get in the damn limo."

Taking a brief moment to look at his options, Eric decides to get inside. The car is a full stretch limo, the nicest thing Eric has sat in within the last twenty years. He removes his jacket, Pizzazz notices that Eric has bulked up since the last time she saw him, "Wow Eric, prison does a body good." Pizzazz reaches out and touches Eric's muscular arm. Eric moves his arm away, "Stop panting Pizzazz."

Cackling a bit Pizzazz reaches over and pours two drinks and hands one over to Eric. Shaking his head Eric says, "No thanks. I haven't had a drink in twenty years, I'm good." Pizazz grins, "In that case you must be very thirsty. Come on Eric, it's your favorite scotch." Eric grabs the glass and throws it back. Pizzazz's eyes dazzle with mischief, "See that wasn't so bad. It is so good to see you Eric."

Looking at Pizzazz with a blank face Eric chuckles, "Good to see me? When is the last time you saw me Pizzazz? You don't call. You don't write. I don't think you ever once made an attempt to see me while I was locked up." Pizzazz looks down and fixes her dress, "I'm here now Eric. Besides I make it a point to avoid going to prison." Eric looks out the window and laughs, "Tell me about it, you just send people there after they've done your bidding."

"Oh Eric please. So you went to jail for a couple decades, you're out now. And you did a great thing, who would've guessed that the almighty Jerrica Benton was that wenchy Jem?" Pizzazz grins while taking a sip of scotch. Eric looks over and rolls his eyes, "I don't care to think about her. Tell me about this job, how will I be making money?"

While placing her glass on the mini bar Pizzazz turns to look at Eric, "Well I'm not sure if you know this but it has become very trendy for has-been bands to reunite for cheesy reunion tours. And I thought it would be nice to show them that the Misfits don't need a reunion tour, that we've always been here making the best music and throwing the best tours." Eric nods, "Very interesting Pizzazz. Reunion tours are tacky for the likes of the Misfits. Tell me, when was the last time you spoke to the other Misfits?" Pizzazz snaps, "Oh shut up Eric. We'll get the band back together in due time. I need you to be our manager, like the good old days."

"The good old days Pizzazz? If I'm to do this I will not be doing any illegal activities, I'm not going back to prison." Eric says reaching over and pouring himself another glass of scotch. Pizzazz smiles, "Of course not Eric, I wouldn't dream of you going back to prison. You're more important to me right here, helping to bring the Misfits back to the number 1 spot." Eric takes a slower sip from his scotch this time, "This quest for being number 1, it wouldn't have anything to do with Jem and the Holograms going on tour again would it? Don't look so surprised Pizzazz, I have been in prison, not living under a rock."

Pizzazz plays innocent, "Oh please as if I care about that piece of phony trash." Eric and Pizzazz look at each other, the history they have shared has never changed no matter what amount of time has passed. Pizzazz devilishly grins, "Well maybe it has something to do with Jem. That annoying mess thinks she can go on a reunion tour and ask Barbie and the Rockers to join, not even thinking about me? The Misfits helped make Jem and the Holograms who they are, and now I'm ready to show her what I'm really capable of. She and I have unfinished business. So come on Eric, what do you say?" Eric finishes his scotch and pauses, "Sure Pizzazz. I'll help, but it'll cost you." Pizzazz tilts her head back, "That doesn't matter. This is just the beginning! Oh Eric, we're gonna get her. But first, you need some new clothes." Pizzazz laughs out loud as Eric sits back in his seat, what was he getting involved with this time?

Jem- The Reunion

Ok I am sending out a warning right now, this post is about to get real dorky, real fast. So run the other way if you have concerns. As I type this right now I am still awaiting news from NYCC about Hasbro relaunching Jem and the Holograms. To pass the time I have decided to post some of my Jem fan fiction that I have been working on. My inspiration for this fan fic is to see where Jem and the Holograms would be in the present. For instance, were the nineties good to our cotton candy hair hued heroine? (The answer is no.) But read on, I hope you will enjoy it!

Jem- The Reunion
Chapter 1

Studio lights shine across a glossy desk. Crew members are hurrying about, making sure everything is in place. A television show is about to start. The host, Lindsey Pierce, sits at the desk prepared for the cameras to start rolling. Time is funny, she thinks to herself, everything has its place. Some things just come full circle.

A cameraman motions towards Lindsey, letting her know the cameras are about to start rolling. She has been doing this talk show for decades, and every new episode still makes her slightly nervous, "Hi gals and pals! This is Lindsey Pierce. You are watching the new Z-TV, the only station still dedicated to music, music videos, and the hottest artists in the business. We interrupt the latest Taylor Swift video to bring you a special interview with someone who truly helped define the eighties. She was a part of a band that rolled out such hits as, I've Got My Eye on You, and She's Got the Power, so please give a warm welcome, to Jem!"

The camera pans out as Jem walks onto the soundstage in a bright pink dress with silver pumps, making her way to Lindsey. Looking fantastic, Jem smiles and takes a seat next to Lindsey. It feels like it was yesterday that Jem was even on the Lindsey Pierce show. Back then the station was Lin-Z TV. Funny how so many things change. Jem looks at her old friend and says hello.

Lindsey smiles, "It is so good to see you Jem. We haven't seen you in awhile. For those just tuning in I am talking with Jem, as in Jem and the Holograms." Lindsey smiles and continues, "Let's catch people up on your music history. You were huge in the eighties. Jem and the Holograms had so many hits that were played all over the world. There was the sold out tours. A television show, not to mention all the merchandise. You seemed poised to enter the nineties ready to take control of a new decade."

Jem nods recalling the past, and how a new decade created so many changes, "Yes Lindsey. The Holograms and I were ready to start the nineties at the top of our game. Things changed though when we were set to perform at a huge benefit concert. Due to Eric Raymond's scheming ways, we found ourselves in a deadly situation."

"Jem, deadly hardly covers it. The Stingers and the Misfits were there too, and a fire broke out. You were all nearly killed." Jem nods thinking of the past and what followed, "Yes. It was horrifying. Eric Raymond wanted to stall the Holograms from performing by starting a small fire. Luckily we all survived. However what happened afterwards was just as worse."

Jem holds her breath, she has never talked on air about her experience. Lindsey says what everyone is already wondering, "What happened was that the world found out that Jem was really Jerrica Benton. Needless to say a lot of people were shocked."

"Shocked was an understatement Lindsey. Many fans were outraged. People felt betrayed and lied to, rightfully so. It was a disaster. The Holograms broke up, we had no other choice. I tried to release a solo album, but it tanked." Lindsey listens feeling torn herself about the events from the past. Always a supporter of the Holograms, even Lindsey had been thrown for a loop when the truth came out that Jerrica Benton, owner of Starlight Music, was in disguise as Jem, "Now Jem, a few years ago you wrote an autobiography detailing many things, most notably your experiences with this double persona. Do you still use the computer program known as Synergy to create holograms?"

Jem shakes her head, "No Lindsey. After all the trouble I caused, I destroyed the technology. It was not easy, however I simply could no longer use it. More importantly there were too many companies trying to by the rights to Synergy from me, and I didn't want that technology in the wrong hands. Now, when I am on stage I have to do my own hair and make up." Jem and Lindsey laugh. Lindsey has missed talking to Jem, "Let's go back a bit, what are your thoughts on Eric Raymond being released from prison in a few weeks?"

"Well Lindsey, he has served his time. I hope that the time he spent in prison will have taught him something. I do wish him well, I just hope he can turn over a new leaf without endangering other's lives. I won't be visiting him to say hello though, if that is what you are wondering." Lindsey chuckles, "I can understand. The man has caused you a lot of grief in the past. Now aside from the book, what else have you been up to Jem?"

Jem discusses the various projects she has been a part of, "I have been behind the scenes. My work has allowed me to help new music talent with some song writing, image consulting, even at times doing background vocals." Lindsey is impressed, "Wow, I did not know that. Care to comment on any artists you have worked with?"

"Oh Lindsey, I wish I could. However I prefer to keep that private at this time, but I will say this: I have been helping an artist who has just exploded. She has a monster career right now. The world is just gaga over her." Jem and Lindsey briefly continue talking about the music industry and how things have changed since the eighties.

Lindsey knows there is more to the interview than just simple conversation, "Moving along though Jem, you have managed to still stay somewhat relevant in the public eye. Your book was a bestseller. The Holograms songs sell really well on itunes, there are always rumors of a band reunion. Do you care to comment on any of that?"

This was the moment. Jem hopes this will be exciting news, "Yes, I would like to comment on that. I am proud to say that the Holograms will be reuniting and embarking on a tour. I have been thinking long and hard about this, and decided that now is the perfect time to come back. There may even be some new music as well as some guest appearances." Lindsey's eyes widen upon hearing the great news, "A new tour? And guest appearances? Care to divulge any further?"

Jem smiles, "Well all I will say is that I have reached out to an old rival. Someone who gave the Holograms some great competition. Barbie and the Rockers will be joining us for a couple of concert dates!" Lindsey claps her hands, this information is gold, and it is happening on her show, "So Jem and the Holograms will be touring with Barbie and the Rockers? For those who care to remember, the Holograms may have had problems with the Misfits, but their true rivalry was a certain tall blonde bombshell. How did you even get that to work Jem?"

The process had not been easy, but Jem goes on, "Barbie and I were actually at a party..."

A click is made as the Jem interview is turned off. A large flat screen television hangs in a plush bedroom with a balcony that looks out over a large manicured lawn. Pizzazz throws the tv remote across her large bedroom and screams, "I hate that slag! You have got to be kidding me! She gets a spot on Lindsey Pierce's show after all this time? And I barely get a mention! I hate her."

Laying in rumpled sheets behind Pizzazz a muscular man rolls over with eyes barely open, "Babe, what's going on? Your screams are messin with my hangover." Pizzazz looks over at her guest, "Oh shut it Zipper. Why are you still here? I got what I needed from you last night, which wasn't much. So get your drunk ass out of my bed and go!" Zipper rubs his eyes and yawns, "Pizzazz, why are you talkin like that? I thought you liked good old Zip hangin around? Let's eat something for breakfast."

Pizzazz groans, "Breakfast was hours ago you fool. I have important things to do, and you have to leave!" Pizzazz begins pushing Zipper off the bed. Long ago Pizzazz never would have dreamt of hooking up with one of Eric Raymond's thugs. However the current times were tough. Pizzazz has had to take whatever she can get. Zipper gets up and starts picking up his clothes off the floor, barely able to remember what happened last night, "Alright, I am going! I don't get you Pizzazz."

"What's there to get? I'm a Misfit, and I'm not playing house with the likes of you." Pizzazz throws Zipper out the front door and taunts, "If you don't leave the grounds in five seconds I will sick the dogs on you." Zipper is about to say something when Pizzazz slams the door to her mansion in his face. Clenching her fingers Pizzazz screams. How could Jem be reuniting with the Holograms? Pizzazz laughs to herself, "Like anyone is going to pay to see those rejects sing a song. This is 2011, not 1987. New century bitch." Pizzazz walks off laughing to herself, formulating all kinds of juicy scandals...

Meanwhile back at the television studio, Jem and Lindsey are talking away from the cameras. Jem hugs her old friend, "Thank you for putting me on your show last minute Lindsey. I know you are incredibly busy." Lindsey nods, "Well I knew you wouldn't disappoint. Besides our numbers are way up, it is so funny how people really want music television to actually be about music. I'm glad you came to us instead of that other station. Now how about the other girls? What do the other Holograms say about this reunion?"

Jem smiles, how should she answer the question? "Well Lindsey, there is one slight problem. The Holograms have no idea about the reunion." Lindsey isn't sure she heard Jem correctly, "What? I'm glad I didn't ask that question on air. How is there going to be a reunioin without the other Holograms?"

"I needed to make the announcement, the only other time I would be able to appear on your show was six months from now. I had no other choice but to jump start the news. I just need to talk to everyone and get things in line. It won't be easy, things have changed a lot." Everything had changed. Shana moved to Paris years ago. Raya had branched out with her own wildly popular band. Aja was still somewhat close with Jem, while Kimber wanted nothing to do with her sister. This would not be easy. Lindsey hugs her friend, "Good luck Jem. I hope this tour can actually work out." Jem agrees, hoping for the same. Jem heads out of the studio and starts the process of bringing the Holograms back together. Jem pulls out her iphone to make a call, "Hey. I had a feeling you saw the interview. I'll explain everything, just meet me at the office. We have a lot of work to do..."
