Ahhh! They Do Exist!

What happens when a toy collector begins the process of organizing and simplifying her collection? For real this time? Well dear reader, she finds what she's been looking for the past number of months: a Fluppy Dog! This one is for you Nick Moose.

You guys! I am really excited. I am beginning to see a great deal of blue shag carpet. Ever since I moved back home and carted my crazy ass with my collection upstairs into the loft/attic space I have been slowly losing my mind. I have had this narrow trail to my bed. It's sad. I shouldn't even be writing about this. Who in their right mind wants to read about a grown woman being unable to walk to her bed because she is a hoarder and has become a master at walking a toy tight rope? Sadly every now and then my hips or ass will knock something off a shelf. Nothing has broken yet. There is one She-Ra figure that is probably wishing to be broken so her life could move on to a better place, but she has proven to be quite the trooper. She's She-Ra after all.

None of that matters though. Well it does but it doesn't. I have been working towards getting rid of some things, reorganizing some things, and opening a dimensional gateway where I've been storing some things away for safe keeping. As this process as been unfolding I have been finding some fun items. It's always funny when I get into a cleaning mode, because what should be a simple process takes forever. I get sidetracked looking at things or finding things I haven't seen in awhile. The process is a mess. However there are moments that make me gasp and say, "I can finally do that one thing I said I'd do months and months ago."

Ok, follow along with me. Awhile back I wrote a post and a fellow by the name of Nick Moose who has been a supportive presence for this blog for some time now brought up the topic of the short lived Disney property called Fluppy Dogs. I can't recall the exact conversation though it did involve discussion over my owning a Fluppy Dog from childhood and Nick screaming in delight. He thought there had never been any actual Fluppy Dog items made. Requests for me to find it and take pictures of the stuffed dog soon followed and I said I'd eventually get around to doing it.

That day has now finally arrived. Behold, my childhood Fluppy dog!

They were so cute and really brought about a yarn renaissance. I vaguely remember getting this stuffed animal. It was either for a birthday or something like that. Either way I have proof that Fluppy Dogs were indeed real. I actually have held on to a great number of my plush toys. I might need to share more of them in the future. It can't always be about action figures and dolls. Anyways, here ya go Nick. And, if you like fun comic material you all should go check out Nick's new website dedicated to his very own comics. He has created a really cool cast of characters and the new site is just awesome. I love everything about it, so go check out Moose Comics now!

That's about it for me. I have been meaning to get out to the movies and see that Wonder Woman teaser film that came out a few weeks ago. I'm also still painting the Gwen Stacy and Polaris custom figures. They will be finished soon. Also, I am working on a new All My Toys. I have this conversation with Michelangelo that is just so much fun. I originally had the conversation with myself in my car months ago and I have been dying to write it out with pictures. I am so excited for the upcoming stuff. The pictures I want to take are going to be awesome. I hope you are all doing very very well. Talk to ya later!

  1. You have no idea how comforting it is to read that another grown-ass-adult is having the same toy-based problems that I am. Thank you for your brutal honesty. May all of us walk our own toy tightropes and never fall.

    1. Well I figure there must be a few of us dealing with similar issues, why not talk about it? I feel like my ankles and hips are contorting in odd positions just to walk that toy tightrope. lol I mean it's funny and sad at the same time, yet I don't care.

  2. I remember the commercials, but I never got one. I already had a ton of stuffed animals.
We moved a few times, and finally, when I was in college, we had no choice but to donate basically a room full of toys. Mum saved several favorites of mine, and I'm ok with the rest being donated. I could've been worse.

    1. Yeah I had a decent number of stuffed animals. Not as many dolls or action figures, but enough. Mostly Care Bears. I had a ton of Care Bears.

I know there were certain things we donated from my collection growing up. Even now I will go through things and either donate or send to friends. Some items are meant to stick around for a long time and other items serve their purpose sooner than planned I guess.

    1. They certainly had a moment for sure. It was a brief moment, but a moment nonetheless. Hope you have been doing well!

  4. Sadly I think Fluppy Dog was before my time. He seems like pure spun cute!

I know you've showed us many photos of your collection, but the more I hear the more I think we need to see some sort of guided tour video just to drive the point home.

    1. Fluppy Dog was before your time. They are really cute though.

A video would make more sense. Pictures are hard to really do it all justice. People who find a way to see it in real life are always shocked. Sometimes in a good way and other times in a, "Honey, you need help" sort of way.
